Spring/Summer Events

Spring is our favourite season, as not only do we start to see some beautiful weather, but there are many exciting events to look forward to in the coming months. If you are looking to visit Hereford and the surrounding areas this season, we have put together a spring/summer calendar to keep you entertained.

Malvern Spring Gardening Show 7th – 10th May
The place to be for an avid gardener. A long weekend featuring inspirational gardens, and the finest quality plants and flowers. Celebrity gardeners are in attendance to teach their skills to the novices.

Royal Welsh Spring Festival 16th – 17th May
‘The number one event for smallholding, gardening and sustainable living.’

Hay Festival 21st - 31st May
Now into its 27th year, the well renowned Hay Festival is back again. Day times include conversations about discovery and adventure, while night times include partying with the greatest comedians and musicians around.

Wychwood Music Festival 29th – 31st May
Don’t miss this line up of bands, workshops and comedians, including a headliner of Ladysmith Black Mambazo!

Cheltenham Science Festival 2nd – 7th June
Experience interactive science to informal scientific chat in The Times Café, and The Talking Point and book buying in the on-site Waterstones book shop.

Cheltenham Food & Drink Festival 12th – 14th June
Held in the beautiful Montpellier gardens, they aim to showcase the very best of the local and national food producers!

Royal Three Counties Show 12th – 14th June
Celebrate the best of British summertime! The Royal Three Counties show offers thrilling entertainment along with the tastiest food and drink, all surrounded by the finest breeds of cattle, sheep and pigs.

Cheltenham Music Festival 30th June – 11th July
Always guaranteeing some very special musical experiences, the Cheltenham Music Festival is back again with its range of top-notch performers and breadth of musical styles.

Herefordshire Beer & Cider Festival 10th – 12th July
What better to way to embrace the English sun than with a cider in hand, sat in a field with your friends? Make the most of this weekend in true Herefordian style!

Royal Welsh Show 20th – 23rd July
The Royal Welsh Show successfully bridges the gap between town and country.
A four-day event encompassing activities such as forestry, horticulture, crafts and countryside sports.
