Whether it’s a boutique restaurant tucked away down a cobbled street, a beautiful walking trail in the countryside, or a stunning landscape by the river, Herefordshire is full of many hidden treasures. If you’re visiting us this season, make sure you check them out.
King Street Kitchen
Every relaxing weekend away starts with brunch at an independent cafe. Enjoy their Little Hereford Madame, washed down with a Clipper organic tea. The Salted Caramel Brownie makes this little gem worth a visit too!
Herefordshire Tipple Trail
The county of Herefordshire is renowned for the beer, cider and vodka it produces, so embark on this adventure and learn about the world of Herefordshire’s tipples all in one go! Enjoy the lovely landscapes and beautiful orchards, whilst sampling the very best tipples in the county.
The Riverside Inn Aymestry
Situated deep in the heart of the Herefordshire countryside and surrounded by the natural beauty of the River Lugg, your journey to this restaurant is an experience in itself. Embrace the traditional style of the pub whilst you sample the classic and delicious flavours they offer. We love visiting during the spring, summer months, as you can enjoy your supper on the river banks.
The Hop Pocket
A small shopping village with a host of unique and independent shops. This really is a day out to suit all tastes, there’s everything from a garden centre, farm shop and deli, butchers, clothing, shoes, furniture and a wine shop. If you’re anything like me, it’s unlikely you’ll come away empty handed!
One of our favourite riverside spots in Herefordshire is Breinton Springs. This walk shows off Herefordshire’s claim to be “The County of Orchards”. A beautiful trail, displaying mistletoe in winter, sparkling white and pink flowers in spring and bright apples in autumn.
The list is extensive, but there’s some of my favourites! If you come across any other hidden gems during your time here, make sure you tell us all about them.
