In 2024 we are hosting a series of fabulous three-day Mindfulness Walking Retreats in conjunction with the Mindfulness Walking Academy, a respected Wiltshire based company that combines an optimal walking technique with core mindfulness skills to help you calm the mind, energise the body and connect with nature. With only eight guests per retreat, you will have plenty of personal attention learning all the elements of Mindfulness Walking with academy founder Jo Dunne. There will be daily opportunities to put what you have learnt into practice on walks through the breathtaking Herefordshire countryside, from straightforward sessions to more challenging hikes. You will take in magnificent scenery, exploring ancient woodland, sections of Offa's Dyke and the 1,000 acres of farmland surrounding the property. Jo will be working alongside holistic practitioner and nutritious food enthusiast Sybil Watson.
There will be plenty of opportunity for relaxation and time to reset and reflect in our spacious, beautifully appointed accommodation – with a chance to practise yoga, enjoy the hot tub and sauna or book a massage.
The key elements of a Mindfulness Walking Retreat:
Mindfulness – learning core concentration skills through a connection with nature
Exercise – learning a simple effective walking technique
Rest – taking time to sleep and unwind in a special location
Nutrition – enjoying a healthy abundance of delicious vegetarian food
