Food Festivals 2016

We hope that spring has now sprung and that summer is just around the corner. Being foodies, summer means just one thing for us, food festivals! The great thing about a food festival is that it brings together all the very best produce in one space!

We love good food here at White Heron Properties, and we always encourage our visitors to go to the county’s best pubs and restaurants (our favourites are here). But food festivals are a real must if you’re staying with us throughout the spring/summer months. So here are some dates for you to put in your foodie calendar:

Great Malvern Food Festival - 30th May 2016
Located in the grounds of Great Malvern Priory Church, the Great Malvern Food Festival comprises of over 60 stalls, showcasing local producers, demonstrations, workshops, street entertainment and live music!

Monmouth Food Festival - 4th June 2016
Make sure you visit the demonstration theatre which will celebrate the very best of Monmouthshire’s chefs and cooks! If you’re bringing children to the estate when you stay, you can take them along too, they have a children’s quarter that offers a range of activities to entertain and educate!

Cheltenham Food & Drink Festival - 10th June 2016
Enjoy the tastes of Gloucestershire along with the traditional real ale and cider from local breweries, plus a Champagne pavilion! There’s a real mix at this festival, from live music to a street theatre and a traditional Punch & Judy show for the children!

Shrewsbury Food Festival - 25th June 2016
Enjoy the best of Shrewsbury with the county’s best artisan producers and craftspeople, we’ve heard the stalls at this festival give out lots of delicious samples, so you’ll be going home full up!

Ludlow Food Festival - 9th September 2016
Take one historic town, combine with an enviable food culture, mix in passionate local chefs, producers and an array of exciting attractions and what do you get – the Ludlow Food Festival of course!

Abergavenny Food Festival - 17th September 2016
Abergavenny Food Festival is the biggest and best-loved food festival in Wales. The award winning festival now exhibits over 200 of the finest food and drink producers, a variety of expert demonstrations and a lineup of outstanding and well-known chefs, welcoming over 30,000 visitors to the beautiful market town each year.
