Summer Activities in Herefordshire

The fast approaching summer holidays and lovely sunny weather means the start of trying to find activities to do with the family, and we all know how difficult that can be! We are often being asked by our guests at White Heron Properties for recommendations and are always more than happy to help. With this in mind we thought that we would pull together a list of some exciting activities, which will hopefully put you in the summer mood and get you out into the stunning countryside that Herefordshire has to offer.

Rowlestone Court - Hereford - www.rowlestonecourt.co.uk
There isn’t really a better way to spend a nice summer day than eating ice cream, especially when the ice cream is made fresh on site using Rowlestone Court’s own cows. You could enjoy this whilst taking a walk in the wildlife area and play area (there is even a zip slide - perfect for the kids and even the adults).

One of the more popular attractions is Go Ape. Here you can swing amongst the trees, climb ropes and more, all on zip wires! You could even try zooming through the forest on a Segway - sure to make a memorable day out.

Ever been underground into a cave? If that’s a no, well now you can! Taking a visit into the Clearwell Caves will let you take a view at the amazing iron ore mines that have been around since ancient times. The caves are constantly kept at 10ºC though, so make sure you bring a jumper!
