Summertime in Herefordshire

Herefordshire and its surrounding counties are always a pleasure in the summertime, whether you’re up on the hills, down in the woodlands or at one of the many fantastic attractions. Hopefully we’ll have lots of sunshine this summer to explore what this wonderful county has to offer. Here are some of my favourites

Ludlow Spring Festival - 13th & 14th May 2017
Debuting this year, the founders of Ludlow Food Festival are launching Ludlow Spring Festival, which they’ve promised will be ‘like a beer festival but better’.

Hay Festival - 25th May - 4th June 2017
This event was described by one of my visitors as ‘one of the happiest days of my year". We love it and always take the family as there really is something for everyone, including the Pimms bar for me!

El Dorado Festival - 30th June - 3rd July
Last summer, Ludlow’s picturesque deer park hosted El Dorado, a new boutique music festival. This year, they’re back again so its a chance to delve even deeper into the wonders of the lost kingdom!

Hereford Food Festival - 1st & 2nd July 2017
For the first time this new event will be held at Hereford racecourse in the heart of the city. It’s set to be the biggest (and tastiest!) food festival Hereford has ever seen. This could well be the event of the summer, one not to miss.

The Weir Gardens
If you are looking for something altogether more relaxing then do go and explore the Weir Gardens located just outside of Hereford city. They are stunning in the spring time and a delight in the summer and let you walk along the banks of the River Wye.

I hope these have wet your appetite a little and I hope that we may see you this summer to share some of your wonderful experiences.
