Even though the estate is located in a rural area, there is an abundance of cafes serving up delicious, local food. Whether it is a tea break or tasty lunch, we've put together our favourite for you to try out during your stay:

1. Border Bean, Kington
Regarded by locals as one of, if not the, best cafes in Kington. With a simple yet truly delicious menu, you might find yourself returning during your holiday for more. A range of delicious cakes and tasty soups, it will fuel a day's walking. Located in the nearest town, Kington, it is only a stone throw's away.

2. Ye Olde Steppes, Pembridge
Fancy afternoon in tea in a traditional setting? or a hearty brunch? Ye Olde Steppes in the closeby village of Pembridge is a popular place to visit; we advise booking as it can get very busy. Located in a beautiful, picture-perfect setting, you won't be disappointed! Read more here.

3. Cafe & Tea Rooms on Bridge St, Pembridge
Also located in Pembridge, stop here for a slice of homemade cake and freshly made coffee. Open on a Monday when many places aren't, this little cafe in the heart of the village has a menu where something is sure to take your fancy. Located just on the corner, near to the church and gallery. 

4. Westonbury Mill Water Gardens, Nr. Pembridge
Wonder around the garden and take in the beautiful Herefordshire surroundings. Nearly 20 years old, the gardens are well established with lots to explore. Finish with a cup of tea and cake in their lovely Cafe before you take the short trip back to the estate. Find out the location here.

5. The Workhouse Gallery & Cafe, Presteigne 
Around 5 miles from Kington, Presteigne is another small town home to a number of small eateries. One of our top picks is The Workhouse; open Tuesday - Saturday, it is the perfect place for coffee or a delicious light lunch using locally sourced, fresh produce.
